Stiles Machinery offers the new Mouldteq M300, ​the first moulding solution from Homag. The CNC moulder combines Homag’s software solutions with robust mechanical engineering. The machine also features easy-to-use touchscreen controls, variable feed and spindle speeds, and quick setup with the proLock spindle clamping system.

Powered by an HSD FS915 5hp spindle, ShopBot’s Automatic Tool Changer (ATC) is available on the company's full size PRSalpha Gantry CNC tools. An ATC automatically changes cutters between tool paths and eliminates the need for the CNC operator to change and zero tools individually. The company says a machine equipped with an ATC can perform operations normally done on other pieces of equipment, eliminating the need for additional machines in the shop.

PMK Systems says the C-1203 HSK is ideal for use by cabinet door manufacturers who have 10 or more different profiles. Tooling can be changed in 30 seconds or less, and the machine allows for unlimited part length. Features include: two HSK direct drive spindles; two 7.5 HP 3-phase motors; and a 1.25 in. tool holder/milling arbor. The 1-1/4-in. diameter spindles rotate 6,000-9,000 RPM and are controlled by PLC and touchscreen monitor. The PMK C-1203 HSK is also available with servo drive.

Ogden offers thin-cutting frame saws for cutting veneer slats from solid wood blocks, for door stiles and rails, window parts, flooring and other items. Because of its thin kerf blades, the frame saw is able to cut accurate veneer slats with less waste (up to 30%), the company says. This is especially important when cutting pricier woods such as oak, mahogany, maple, cherry and other exotic species, the company adds.

Available from Williams & Hussey, the Model 206 Molder features 0-19 fpm variable feed and multi-pass capabilities, for a smooth and clean finish. The machine can be used for straight, curved or eliptical mouldings, with a maximum profile depth of 3/4 in., and a maximum profile width of 6-3/4 in. An optional mobile base is available. W&H also offers in-stock and custom knives.

ShopBot's full-size PRSalpha CNC is a gantry-based router that uses advanced technology for CNC cutting, drilling, carving, and machining of wood, plastic, aluminum and other materials. Available in traditional shop-size and larger, all full size gantry tools are available with 8- or 14-in. Z travel. In addition to standard size tools, ShopBot says it can build a tool to any dimension up to 10 by 30 ft and with plunge depths up to 24 in.

Koch Machinery & Systems offers the Sprint drilling and dowel insertion machine. Available with 3-axis control, the machine can perform horizontal and vertical drilling, glue injecting, dowel driving, routing, notching, grooving and pocket routing. Optimized for just-in-time manufacturing, there is minimal set-up time for program reconfiguration and the machine is suitable for components with varying dimensions.

Available from Diversified Machine Systems, the DMS 3 Axis D3 CNC machine features a stationary table design with various customization options. The open style allows for easy loading and unloading and the table pairs seamlessly with the company's quick change fixture system. Features include a stand-alone operator control station with a Fagor servo drive system with absolute encoders, 10-in. Z stroke, a 5 x 12-ft phenolic table with machined vacuum plenum, and multiple spindle options.

The Maggi Boring System 23 is a 23 spindle 32mm universal drilling solution, with horizontal and vertical boring capabilities and pneumatic tilting of the boring unit with locking points from 0-90 degrees for quick set-up at any angle. Features include accurate positioning of the boring unit to the table with digital readout, 0 to 2.5-in. adjustable drilling depth with the patented spiral setting device, and two patented quick release material clamps with auto-setting.

Aircle offers the QaX Series of Lidar Measurement Systems which provide non-contact, high-resolution 3D detail of fast moving profiles. The company says each unit in the series utilizes ultra-fast image capture paired with micro line Laser Image Dimension And Range (Lidar) interpolation to create a full matrix point cloud of the profile to compare to a teach-in template for any deviations. The system also identifies voids, finds snipe/pistol grip and pattern matches.
