Wood production plant condemned after fire

No injuries were reported at a fire at Dimensional Mills, a Hudson Falls, New York, wood production plant, but the building was later condemned, according to local news reports. Over a dozen crews responded to the fire at Dimensional Mills on Main street, according to TALK 1300/98.7 NEWS. A cause of the fire remains under investigation, according to the report.  News Channel 13, reported that the fire broke out around 3:15 Monday afternoon at the plant, which is located at 337 Main Street, Hudson Falls.

Downturn in home remodeling may bottom out in 2024

Spending for residential improvements and repairs is expected to shrink this year for the first time since 2010, but signs point to some easing of declines by year’s end, according to the Leading Indicator of Remodeling Activity (LIRA) released by the Remodeling Futures Program at the Joint Center for Housing Studies of Harvard University.
