Using intelligent detection technology, the GreCon DLD 1/9 spark detector can distinguish between dangerous sparks and harmless ambient light, and provide highly sensitive detection in processes to 150C. With the DLD 1/9, detection is not dependent on the temperature of ignition sources, Fagus GreCon adds.

Half million beds recalled after numerous injury reports

More than a half a million beds sold at retailers like Walmart and Wayfair are under recall because they can break during use, which has resulted in dozens of injuries.The recall impacts several different models and sizes of upholstered low profile standard and platform beds from Home Design, Inc. The furniture wholesaler, which is based in Silver Lake in Kosciusko County, says it has received 128 reports of these beds “breaking, sagging or collapsing” when used, including 36 unspecified injuries to date.

Florida lumber and millwork company acquired

Tri-Excellence, Inc., which is the corporate name for the three-decade old Banning Lumber & Millwork, Largo, Florida, a fully stocked lumberyard offering building products including millwork, doors, windows, moldings, stair parts and exterior siding, has been acquired. Details of the transaction were not released.

Raised panel sanding pad

Dynabrade offers a new raised panel sanding pad for use with the Dynafine Detail Sander. This new sanding pad has a rectangular shape (4-in. x 3/4-in.) with angled edges and is ideal for sanding into tight corners and on raised edges of panels, as well as other woodworking applications. It features a premium urethane medium density hook face pad, 1/2-in. thick, which accepts both coated abrasive and non-woven nylon sheets.
