POTOMAC FALLS, VA — The Woodwork Career Alliance has a new Web site with enhanced navigation and easy-to-find drop-down tabs with newly organized content about skills standards, credentialing, partners, discussions and contact information. WCA has developed skills standards for more than 30 woodworking tools and machines, available for industry use. It is now beginning work on another set of standards.
The group invites volunteers with experience on these woodworking tools to be interviewed about their preferred “standards” for the industry. A list of the tools is available at http://skillstandards.wikispaces.com/Tool_Groups.
Questions can be directed to Greg Heuer, WCA secretary, at [email protected].
