PELLA, Iowa — Pella Corporation, ranked 9th on the FDMC 300, has announced the acquisition of Weather Shield, a manufacturer of architectural wood and aluminum window and door solutions based in Medford, Wisconsin, and #41 on the FDMC 300, a listing of the largest wood products manufacturers in North America.

Weather Shield did not disclose any terms of the transaction since they are a privately-owned company. Woodworking Network reached out to Pella for additional comments, and the company confirmed that Weather Shield is now a subsidiary of Pella.

The companies said this strategic move brings together two industry leaders with complementary capabilities and a shared commitment to innovation, craftsmanship, and exceptional customer experience.

Weather Shield is known for its distinctive architectural design expertise and high-end product offerings, serving the unique needs of discerning architects, builders, and homeowners. By joining the Pella family of brands, both companies are positioned for accelerated growth — offering expanded capabilities and even more value to customers in the future.

"With 70 years of experience in the window and door industry, Weather Shield has demonstrated an outstanding understanding of architectural design and consistently delivers on quality and customer expectations," said Tim Yaggi, CEO of Pella Corporation. "Their reputation for innovation and precision engineering makes them a natural strategic fit. Together, we'll build on our complementary strengths to create even more compelling solutions for the customers we serve."

Earlier this year, Weather Shield launched the VUE Collection at the International Builders' Show — an ultra-modern, all-aluminum product line designed for unparalleled customization and visual impact. The collection underscores Weather Shield's commitment to pushing design boundaries and elevating the customer experience.

"We are thrilled to join the Pella family," said Bob Foote, vice president of Architectural Business & president of Weather Shield. "This partnership represents a powerful strategic and cultural alignment that will allow our people and our business to thrive. Pella Corporation's century-long legacy of market leadership, operational excellence, and customer-first mindset makes them the ideal partner for our next chapter."
