FRANKLIN, Mass. - A Massachusetts furniture store is being slammed with calls from customers who think they're calling one of Wayfair's Chinese suppliers.
The small, family-owned Simon's Furniture happens to share the name of Chinese furniture giant Simon Furniture, whose items are for sale on Wayfair.
Six months ago, the independent store began getting calls from angry Wayfair customers, who told the store they were being told by Wayfair to contact them directly. It's causing problems for the company, as too much time is being spent on the phone talking to other people's customers. Calls from actual customers are surely being missed.
The Chinese Simon's website is the problem. It's filled with typos and lists a phone number that goes unanswered.
Wayfair's own agents are even calling the store, looking for answers on behalf of customers, reports WBAL News.
WBAL says store owner Jared Simon has asked Wayfair repeatedly to correct the issue. But no correction has been made.
