(Germansville, PA) â The Grothouse Lumber Company, a premier supplier of custom-built wood counters, tables and bar tops, has added Live Edge wood surfaces to its already extensive customization offerings. This new product line enables designers to include natural edge solid wood countertops in their design aesthetic.
Clients can select blanks from many species of wood, and range in style from earthy Black Walnut or iridescent Sapele Mahogany. The live edge blanks are available in a great variety of lengths and widths to suit your particular design aesthetic. Grothouse Live Edge wood products embrace natureâs design. The characteristic slab shapes, figure, cracks, mineral streaks and wormholes, ensure each piece is unique, as it is in nature. Each surface is meticulously sanded and finished. The result is a distinctive, yet functional art form.
Grothouse has paid particular attention to the supply chain aspects of this product, previously available only as a very special order product. Grothouse has developed extensive in-house stock and direct supplier relationships to give designers a great breath of inventory to choose from. By adding the Live Edge category into the Grothouse family of products, Grothouse can ship the finished surfaces in a staggeringly short lead time of 2 to 3 weeks. All this is combined with Grothouseâs second to none fabrication, finishing, quality and service.
Grothouse recommends the surface be finished with specially-formulated Durata® permanent finish, one of the most durable and reliable protective coatings currently available on the market today. The Live Edge products are crafted in the USA and sold to the trade only. All Live Edge surfaces will arrive with a lifetime warranty.
âAny of the elements of Live Edge surfaces can be enhanced with the countless features we currently offer.â explains owner Paul Grothouse. âWe are excited about this new product line that embraces the organic nature of our wood surfaces,â
