A Dynamic Duo: The National Cabinet Conference & Woodworking Expo

The NCC&WE is a co-located event, tailor-made for custom woodworkers and cabinetmakers.

 

Slated for March 18-20, the National Cabinet Conference & Woodworking Expo will feature live demonstrations of woodworking equipment and software.

The National Cabinet Conference & Woodworking Expo brings together a national educational program for cabinet manufacturers and the Midwest’s only professional woodworking show of 2008 to Chicagoland at the same space and time.

The co-located events, organized by Custom Woodworking Business and Wood & Wood Products magazines, take place March 18-20 at the Renaissance Schaumburg Hotel & Convention Center, in Chicago’s northwest suburbs.

The National Cabinet Conference has the additional solid support of the Cabinet Makers Association, an organization boasting more than 500 member companies spread across North America.
Cabinet Conference: March 18-20

The CMA is playing an integral role in helping develop the high-caliber National Cabinet Conference. It will feature a series of workshops and seminars geared toward owners and top managers of cabinet manufacturing facilities throughout North America. The majority of the conference’s sessions will be presented by CMA representatives, all of whom are integrally involved in the day-to-day operations of custom cabinet shops.

The Cabinet Conference kicks off on Tuesday, March 18 with a trio of half-day workshops on the topics of lean manufacturing, presented by esteemed W&WP Contributing Editor Tom Dossenbach; the Business of Finishing Wood, by finishing expert and author Ron Bryze; and running a successful custom cabinet manufacturing business, by cabinet industry veteran Eric Lehmann.

The conference continues on March 19 and 20 with a choice of 11 seminar sessions covering a variety of management, marketing and technical issues.

Free Internet Marketing Keynote Speech

All attendees and exhibitors of the National Cabinet Conference & Woodworking Expo are invited to attend the free keynote presentation, “How to Build an Online Marketing Machine,” 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 20.

Bob DeStefano, president of SVM E-Business Solutions, will provide attendees with a practical roadmap for transforming their Web sites into an Online Marketing Machine. Attendees will learn how to harness the power of search engine marketing, a customer-focused Web site, e-mail marketing and Web analytics into an integrated marketing system that will continually generate new business, strengthen relationships with customers and maximize the results of their online marketing investments.

Woodworking Expo: March 19-20

The Woodworking Expo, March 19-20, will include a full complement of woodworking machinery, supplies and services displayed by leading manufacturers and distributors. It is the first industrial woodworking exhibition to be held in the Chicago area in six years.

Targeted audiences include manufacturers of cabinets, countertops, residential and office furniture, architectural woodwork, store fixtures, mouldings and millwork, windows and doors, and other wood products.

Cabinet Conference attendees can save $75 on a three-day Cabinet Conference pass - $375 vs. $450 – by registering by Feb. 26. The three-day pass covers the attendee’s choice of educational sessions throughout the three-day event, plus the Industry Networking Reception, Peer2Peer Luncheon, two continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks, expo admission and handouts of all sessions.

Advance registration discounts are also available for the March 18 workshops and the March 19-20 cabinet seminars. Those only interested in attending the woodworking expo can save $15 by registering in advance - $10 vs. $25 after Feb. 26.
