The U.S. Green Building Council delayed manadatory adoption of LEED v4 for a year, extending the registration for LEED certified projects under the existing standard until Oct. 31, 2016. A survey showed 61% of builders weren't ready.

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) announces that LEED v4, the newest version of the LEED green building program, launched today at the annual Greenbuild International Conference and Expo in Philadelphia.

USGBC has announced a 6th public comment period for LEED version 4, the newest version of the LEED rating systems. There will be no delay in the member balloting and launch of the system, if approved by members.

Forest advocates have until Monday December 10th to provide official comments on the US Green Building Council’s 5th draft of LEED v4.
