ATLANTA, Ga. — The SkillsUSA’s National Leadership & Skills Conference (NLSC) is set to take place in Atlanta, June 23-27, 2025, which is the largest gathering of America’s future skilled workforce and the ultimate recognition of excellence in career and technical education. Lamello USA, a constant supporter of the organization, have their P-System connectors used by competitors at each of the national-level cabinetmaking competitions for the past few years.
The NLSC brings together more than 17,500 attendees, including students, instructors, industry partners, government officials, administrators and more. The highlight of the NLSC is the SkillsUSA Championships, where more than 6,500 state champions compete for national gold, silver and bronze medals in 114 skilled and leadership competitions.
The 2024 SkillsUSA Cabinetmaking Championship challenged students to construct a standing leg cabinet in eight hours.
Utah Valley University’s Ethan Jacobson earned Gold in Cabinetmaking at the competition last summer, following his Silver win in 2023. Since becoming a national champion, Ethan launched his own furniture and cabinetmaking business while continuing his education.
In special recognition of the competitors’ efforts in 2024, Lamello produced customized Zeta P2 machines and Colonial Saw Company delivered them to the high school- and collegiate-level national champions: Medina Valley High School in Texas and Utah Valley University.
