LOUISVILLE, Ky. - Rev-A-Shelf, a manufacturer of accessories for the kitchen, bath, and closet, was a sponsor of the 22nd Annual Jeffersontown High School Regatta - an event where students from the school's CAD class created 2D and 3D designs and built floating boats out of duct tape and cardboard.
Rev-A-Shelf says its sponsorship was part of a Co-Op program the company has been a part of since 2017 and is one of its best and longest-standing relationships with 10 active co-ops in rotation.
Jeffersontown's CAD program provides students with the software skills needed for engineering and design careers. "We send kids into the field of mechanical engineering, we've had kids graduate from (the University of Louisville's) Speed School (and) we've had kids go right into the workforce, doing drafting," Jason Stepp, a CAD teacher at Jeffersontown High School said in a quote to WDRB. According to the station, approximately 18 teams participated in this year's tournament.
