ACSP unveils transition, sets goals for future

As my term as president of the ACSP draws to a close, I reflect on the incredible journey we’ve all taken together. It’s been an honor to serve this organization and witness firsthand the resilience, innovation, and camaraderie that make the ACSP a force within our industry.

Throughout my presidency, I’ve focused on laying the groundwork for continued growth. We introduced new role definitions for all director-level committee heads and established a clear organizational chart, helping to streamline our operations. We gave our logo a fresh, modern look and launched Circle, a members-only platform where we can connect, share insights, and support each other in new ways. One of my passions was to develop a comprehensive Study Guide for the Registered Designer exam, with plans for similar resources across all certification levels in the future. We also mapped out a Pathway to Success, guiding members through every step of the certification process, and transitioned our internal software to improve transparency with features like auto-renewals and robust certification tracking. We worked with a local law firm that vetted and re-wrote our by-laws, which hadn’t been edited since the inception of the ACSP.

One of the most rewarding projects was the complete overhaul of our website, closets.org. This new site reflects our growth as an association, providing an enhanced user experience for current and future members alike.

I want to thank the incredible people who have supported these initiatives. Our education team has worked tirelessly to revamp the Registered Installer test, ensuring it remains relevant and challenging — a heartfelt thanks to Amanda Conger, who stood by my side every step. Your insight and leadership as executive director have been invaluable. To Wendy Scott, our past president, I thank you for your guidance and mentorship — you’ve helped shape this organization in so many ways.

Special recognition goes to Carlissa Montoya, our previous president-elect, for her dedication to elevating our image and communications. Carlissa, your creativity and passion have kept our members engaged, and I wish you all the best as you step away from the board to focus on your business endeavors.

As I transition into the role of past president, I leave you in the capable hands of Jenna Shock (Inspired Closets Pittsburgh), who will take the helm as president, and Allanna Bell (Optimization Dolls), our new vice president. I am confident they will continue to elevate the ACSP and guide us into an exciting future.

Lastly, mark your calendars for Closet Con 2025 in beautiful West Palm Beach, Florida, June 11-13, 2025! This promises to be a fantastic event filled with learning, networking, and inspiration. Don’t miss it!

To all ACSP members, thank you for allowing me to serve you. I’ll close with an especially meaningful quote: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” Let us continue this journey together, with courage and commitment, as we shape the future of our industry.

With deepest gratitude.
