KCMA: Cabinet sales down 1.7 percent for March

RESTON, Va. -- According to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association‘s monthly Trend of Business Survey, participating cabinet manufacturers reported a decrease in cabinet sales of 1.7 percent for March 2018 compared to the same month in 2017.

Stock sales were down 1.7 percent; semi-custom sales decreased 2.4 percent; and custom sales increased slightly at 0.7 percent compared to March 2017.

Year-to-date cabinetry sales through March 2018 are down 1 percent, according to participating manufacturers. Stock sales are down 1.7 percent; semi-custom decreased 0.6 percent; and custom sales are down 0.1 percent so far this year.

Survey participants include stock, semi-custom, and custom companies – companies that belong to KCMA represent combined sales of approximately 70 percent of the U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market.  KCMA is the major trade association for kitchen cabinet and bath vanity manufacturers and key suppliers of goods and services to the industry. KCMA has been compiling and reporting industry sales data for more than forty years.
