Cabinet sales gain 9 percent in February: KCMA

RESTON, Va. -- The Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association reported that its monthly Trend of Business Survey showed that participating cabinet manufacturers reported an increase in cabinet sales of 9.2 percent for February 2020 compared to the same month in 2019. Custom sales increased 5.6 percent, semi-custom increased 3 percent, and stock sales were up 14.5 percent.

The monthly numbers from KCMA were also positive with an overall increase of 10.5 percent compared to January. Custom sales were up 10.5 percent; semi-custom increased 14 percent, and stock sales increased 8.3 percent.

Year-to-date cabinet sales through February were up 7 percent overall with custom sales up 7 percent, semi-custom sales up 1 percent, and stock sales up 11.4 percent. 

Survey participants include stock, semi-custom, and custom companies whose combined sales represent approximately 70 percent of the U.S. kitchen cabinet and bath vanity market. KCMA is the major trade association for kitchen cabinet and bath vanity manufacturers and key suppliers of goods and services to the industry.
