LAS VEGAS - Part of a line of moisture meters that feature dual-depth measurement, Wagner Meters says the Orion 950 Smart Pinless Wood Moisture Meter and other models are the first in the industry to feature true NIST-traceable in-field calibration, which means the meter will never have to be sent in for calibration. The Orion recently picked up an AWFS Visionary Award.

With an ambient temperature and Relative Humidity (RH) sensor, it can collect data in either manual or automatic mode with viewable moisture stats and can hold data storage of up to 100 readings while providing high-low-average analysis.

It is also capable of calculating the equilibrium moisture content of the environment where wood is stored while also interacting through Bluetooth technology with both Woodshop MC and FloorSmart free mobile apps.

The 950 and other products from Wagner was on display at the July's AWFS show. The Visionary New Product Awards recognize creativity and innovation and are evaluated on quality, production impact, practicality, innovation, and user-friendliness.
