LAS VEGAS - SCM is donating $20,000 to Got Your 6, a social movement that empowers and supports veterans and their families. The company announced the donation in a special ceremony at its booth during the AWFS Fair. The biennial woodworking fair was held July 19-22 in Las Vegas.

"Got your six," in the military means "I've got your back." The group is an advocate for veterans, helping promote policy reform and veteran reintegration.  It also "works to normalize the depictions of veterans on film and television to dispel common myths about the veteran population," according to the group's website.

Throughout the AWFS Fair, SCM had a robot serving ice cream cones to attendees. In lieu of "tips," donations were solicited to support the movement. SCM is matching 100 percent of all donations made during the event.
