LONDON, Ont. — Cabinetry manufacturer Aeon Canada officially broke ground on its new $20-million, 90,000-square-foot facility in London, Ontario.

Jason Zang, who immigrated from China to study in Canada, plans to grow his existing small cabinet assembly business into a standalone factory. The company is transitioning from assembling imported parts to full-scale local manufacturing.

Founded by Western University alumnus Zang, and business partners Euphy Liu and Nicole Lt, said the project is expected to create more than 50 new jobs to London, with plans to scale up to 100 jobs in the coming years. 

“We’re very excited,” Zang told the The London Free Press said at the groundbreaking. “We have a lot of different clients but mostly we sell to dealers across Canada.”
