Mohawk Industries has agreed to buy Pergo laminate flooring for approximately $150 million from Pfleiderer AG of Dusseldorf, Germany.

Pfleiderer AG has entered into an agreement to sell Pergo to Mohawk Industries, Inc., a leading supplier of flooring applications in the US. Pergo is a leading manufacturer of premium laminate flooring in both Europe and the United States.

The Remodeling Market Index (RMI) recently released report announces record breaking news that the RMI jumped to 50 in the third quarter of 2012. With levels unseen since 2005, the index is up five full points and projected to be even better in 2013.
