MANHEIM, Pa. – D.C. Distributing expands its metal edgebanding collection with the addition of three new colors: Aged Chrome, Antique Bronze and Antique Chrome.

TUPELO, Miss. -- United Furniture Industries Inc. is reportedly laying off about 300 workers in Mississippi and North Carolina. United, which is privately held and operates under the Lane Home Furnishings brand, said that in the next two months it will close one production facility and transform two others exclusively for use as warehouse and distribution center space, according to a report in the Tupelo Daily Journal.

REHAU has appointed Amanda Henrickson to the new position of senior sales director for furniture solutions. Reporting directly to the CEO of REHAU Americas, Dr. Thomas Troeger, Henrickson will oversee furniture division sales and customer service teams in the United States and Canada.

A third-generation, family-owned lumber yard in Seneca Falls, N.Y., was destroyed by fire on Sunday, July 3.  Fire departments from four communities responded just after 5:30 p.m. Sunday to find flames shooting from a Ferrara Lumber location in Senaca Falls. The store supplied lumber, cabinetry, and hardware to the region.
