Project Description: This custom garage cabinetry system includes high gloss red, black, and wire bronze finishes to achieve a modern high-end car connoisseur look. The countertops were finished with a Mayan dyed copper metal laminate and all drawer boxes were lined with black and red speckled vulcanized high-impact rubber matting. Some added features include integrated seating bench, personal beverage center, concealed hot/cold water retractable hose reel, and a wet/dry shop vacuum system. The TV was also equipped with its own high gloss surround cabinet with tiered picture frame to further accent the garage colors. The TV cabinet has LED back lighting to make the TV appear as though it is floating in space. Red and Black mouldings were added to the upper soffit area to conceal a multi-color LED lighting for added ambiance. To finish things off two car lifts were installed for more good boy toys.

List materials used in the project, including wood, veneer, laminate, hinges, decorative accessories, etc.: a combination of high gloss red, black, and wire bronze acrylic finishes for door/drawer faces and exposed cabinet sides. The countertops and bench seating were made with a Chemetal dyed copper metal laminate. Drawer boxes were lined with black and red speckled vulcanized high impact rubber matting. Some added features include personal beverage center, concealed hot/cold water retractable hose reel, and a wet/dry shop vacuum system. The TV cabinet and upper soffit areas included a concealed a multi-color LED lighting system.

Describe any design challenges, i.e. obstructions, etc.: The project was closely coordinated directly with the customer and their contractor on the all the electrical and plumbing requirements so everything went smoothly. The cabinets were laid out and balanced with upper window spacing. The TV cabinet was design and sized to the TV manufactures specification.

Was the design created by hand or software program? If software program, which one did you use?: The design was initially done in Cabware and later transferred to Cabinet Vision to allow for screen to machine production.

Describe the installation process and any challenges.: It was an open garage space so the biggest challenge was making sure the cabinetry did not get damaged by other trades working around it. Good coordination and cabinetry protection measures with the contractor and his trades are essential. We only removed the final peel coat surface after everything was cleaned.
