CINCINNATI  - Formica Corporation, the inventor of laminate, announced an exclusive licensing agreement with Arauco to manufacture and sell Formica Thermally Fused Laminate (TFL). Under this agreement, 25 of the best selling Formica Brand TFL designs will be stocked by Arauco and available in the Formica TFL Quick Ship Program.

Additionally, Formica Corporation will manufacture and distribute the Arauco Prism HPL offering, which consists of more than 60 designs complementary to Arauco Prism TFL. All designs will be available in one sheet minimums.

“Formica Corporation has grown its matching HPL and TFL program exponentially the past several years. This agreement with Arauco represents the next phase in this program and will allow designers to choose from a broader range of color and texture matched Formica Brand HPL and TFL products with a better service model,” said Mitch Quint, President of Formica Corporation North America.

Quint said Arauco has proven track records in TFL production, sales and customer service and the collaboration will now bring the program to customers across the United States and Canada.

"By combining the strengths of Arauco and Formica Corporation, the design and fabrication communities will have an unprecedented set of opportunities to complement TFL and HPL into projects on any scale,” said Kelly Shotbolt, President of Arauco North America. “The availability of matching textures backed by access to a national footprint will allow us to provide the service, color selection and range of specialty substrates that the market requires.”
