ST. JOHNSBURY, Vt —TableLegs.com has introduced EasyBase, a joinery system allowing woodworkers to build free-standing, strong, heirloom-quality table bases in under 10 minutes—with no clamps or glue.

“Using the patent-pending EasyBase joinery system from TableLegs.com, manufacturers, and furniture-makers can leverage our many years of table-design expertise to expand their product lines and increase sales,” said Matthew Burak, designer of EasyBase and owner of TableLegs.com. “EasyBase is an example of the table-making expertise we bring to the marketplace to help designers, builders, and makers with creative table solutions.”

Unlike standard corner braces, EasyBase corner joints are aligned with modified mortise and tenon and secured with an interlocking corner-block system. The threaded metal inserts embedded in the table legs and the anodized bolts and washers that hold the corner blocks in place are industrial quality.

On a wood table, the legs are attached to four aprons to form the table base. TableLegs.com makes building the base exceptionally quick and easy with the patent-pending EasyBase system: The aprons and legs are aligned with mortise and tenon and secured with interlocking corner blocks and bolts. No tools other than an Allen wrench (included) are required for assembly.
The legs are removable for storage, flat-pack shipping or transport. Pocket holes for attaching the table top are drilled into the aprons. The EasyBase table base shown here has Mid-Century Modern style Juhl legs from TableLegs.com. Thousands of combinations of table-leg styles and sizes in five wood species—cherry, maple, walnut, red oak, white oak—are offered by the company.

Tables with EasyBases are used for residential, commercial, office and hospitality settings and for store fixtures, made to the exact width, length, and height a customer needs. The tables are available in a multitude of wood species and table leg styles. And because the legs are removable, the tables are easy to transport, store or flat-pack ship.

“Our mantra at TableLegs.com is ‘Because Design Matters.’ We sweat the details so our customers don’t have to. This means from Mid-Century Modern to 16th Century and every design in between, we offer thousands of beautiful EasyBase solutions,” Burak said.

EasyBase customers receive a kit with everything needed to build/assemble an heirloom-quality table base: legs, aprons, corner blocks, bolts and corresponding Allen wrench to secure the bolts. Last, customers fasten their table top with provided mounting screws through predrilled pocket holes in the aprons.

TableLegs.com offers solid wood, wide-board tops to match every base, available unfinished or finished with all-natural Monocoat Oil. Table tops are available in lengths up to 120 inches in cherry, hard and soft maple, mahogany, walnut, red oak and white oak.
