TAUBERBISCHOFSHEIM, GERMANY -- The Supervisory Boards of Michael Weinig AG and Weinig International AG decided to extend the appointment of Karl Wachter as CFO of Michael Weinig AG as well as CEO of Weinig International AG until December 31st 2011.
With the agreement of Mr. Wachter to extend his contract, a seamless handover of the operative business to the new CFO Mr. Gerald Schmidt on October 1st 2011 is guaranteed.
In addition, according to the agendas of the annual general meetings of Michael Weinig AG and Weinig International AG held in July, the shareholders will propose the election of Mr. Wachter as a member of both Boards of Directors in January 1st 2012.
"With this nomination the shareholders express the great appreciation for the work of Mr. Wachter. We look forward to continue to work with Mr. Wachter in his new role", states Dr. Thomas Bach, the chairman of the boards of Michael Weinig AG and Weinig International AG.
