Pergo Cuts Jobs

RALEIGH — The Raleigh News Observer reports that the parent company of laminate flooring maker Pergo has announced that 180 jobs will be cut in accounting and technical support positions across the United States and Canada. These moves follow German conglomerate Pfleiderer’s purchase of Pergo earlier this year. Pfleiderer employs about 5,800 worldwide and is expanding significantly in both Western and Eastern Europe.
