King Slide Technology Co. Ltd. of Taiwan won the "Best of Kitchens" product award at the 2010 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show.
Winning products in the KBIS competition were judged based on their functionality, quality, flexibility, aesthetics, style and innovation. Only products introduced to the market in the past 12 months were eligible.
King Slide won for its 1A88F and 1B88F Push-Open Soft Close Under-Mount Drawer Slides. The company describes is "the worldâs first electric-free, all-mechanical patent pending designed under mount drawer slide promoting green technology. The smooth gliding motion is coupled with a positive opening force with a simple 'push anywhere' on the drawer front, a fast response dampening system and a bump free opening and closing action.
More recently, the King Slide product was named one of the 22 finalists in the International Woodworking Fair's Challengers Award competition.
The slide is available for both face frame cabinetry in 9-, 12-, 15-, 18- and 21-inch lengths and with frameless cabinetry lengths from 250 mm to 550mm in 50 mm increments. The 1A88F is used for 5/8-inch-thick drawer side material and the 1B88F is used for ¾-inch drawer side material thickness.
