AUSTIN, TX â The Cabinet Makers Association and Custom Woodworking Business will partner once again to present executive-level education programs for owners and managers of custom woodworking and cabinet companies.
The 3rd Custom Cabinet Conference (CCC) will be held in conjunction with the 8th Closets & Home Organization Conference & Expo scheduled for February 15-17, 2012 at the Austin Convention Center.
The 2012 CCC will feature a carefully selected mix of business, marketing and technology topics. In addition, the CMA will offer CCC attendees an opportunity to earn CMA certification credits. A pilot of the CMAâs certification program was held during the CCC in Charlotte in February. The program is formally being rolled out at the AWFS Fair in Vegas July 20-23.
âThe Cabinet Makers Association is committed to education and intent on helping woodworking executives develop their business skills,â said Dave Grulke, executive director of the CMA. âWe were pleased with the reception our certification program met with in Charlotte and look forward to the potential of offering our first live testing certification program in Austin.â
Joe Knobbe, president of the CMA, said, âThe CMA looks forward to continuing its partnership with Custom Woodworking Business in Austin. The Custom Cabinet Conference will focus on tried-and-proven ideas that cabinet and custom woodwork executives can take back to their shops to do a better job of pricing projects, finding new business or reducing their production costs.â
âThe CMA has been a valued ally for many years with our education programs,â said Rich Christianson, Associate Publisher of CWB. âWe are immensely pleased to have members of their speakerâs bureau, who are recession-tested, to present real-world solutions for succeeding in woodworking industry during the most challenging of times.â
