TORONTO — Stolbek, a company that specializes in designing and building automated sanding machinery, will exhibit at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference and Expo, November 12-14 at the Toronto Congress Centre.

The company explains why it was founded and what led it to develop equipment like the Cosmo SC2658 robotic sander that it will display at WMS.

“Like most good stories, ours started with a problem, and a lot of dust. Labor shortages, inconsistent sanding quality, and enough palm sanding to ruin a perfectly good shoulder. We searched for the right solution, but nothing fit. So, we did what any determined woodworker would do: we built it ourselves.

“What started as a machine to solve our own headaches became something much more. We realized if it could transform our production, maybe it could do the same for others. So, we refined it, tested it, obsessed over the details (like all woodworkers do), and built the kind of system we once dreamed of.

“At Stolbek, our mission is rooted in the shop floor, not the showroom. We build machines for woodworkers because we’re woodworkers. We get the nuances. The grain-level details that separate ‘good enough’ from ‘that’s perfect.’ And we’re not done, we’re always improving.

“Every Stolbek machine is engineered with lean manufacturing principles and a deep respect for the craft. Because in this industry, speed matters. Quality matters. And yes, your other plans matter too.”
