YouTube star and professional woodworker Matthias Wandel filmed himself building a laser-cut wooden combination lock.
A detailed set of plans for the lock, which Wandel is selling for $7, features plan views of all parts, printable PDF drawings, exploded 3D views of assembly, building instructions, detailed photos, SVG files for laser cut version from 6 mm plywood, and a SketchUp model of the lock.
Wandel is a prominent YouTube woodworker. He's also inventor of the PantoRouter, a 2016 IWF Challengers award semi-finalist.
Wandel has built a homemade power feeder using a roller skate wheel, created a unique machine that sets up dominoes in uniform rows, engineered contraptions to dampen the vibration on his table saw, and designed a remote control dust control switch. He also created a curtain rod that goes around corners, as well as a slinky escalator out of wood.
