Cinmar Agrees to $3.1 Million Civil Penalty

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced today that Cinmar LLC, of West Chester, Ohio, has agreed to pay a $3.1 million civil penalty. The penalty agreement has been accepted provisionally by the Commission in a 3-0 vote.

New Acting Chairman of U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission

Robert (Bob) Adler became Acting Chairman of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) on December 1, 2013. Mr. Adler, who has served as a Commissioner at CPSC since 2009, said, “I have worked at or been connected with this great safety agency for nearly 40 years. I am passionate about our mission, our staff, and those whom we serve every day, and I am honored to lead CPSC in this new role.”
