SawStop says the U.S. International Trade Commission has affirmed an administrative law judges patent infringement findings against Bosch, but Bosch disputes the report. The ITC says at its site, "Notice is hereby given that the U.S. International Trade Commission has determined to extend the target date for completion of this investigation to January 27, 2017.
SawStop maker SD3 won U.S. Supreme Court support in its antitrust lawsuit against Black & Decker, Robert Bosch, Makita and other toolmakers, of conspiring to boycott its table saw safety technology. The court denied efforts to stop the case.
SawStop LLC has expressed confidence that the company will win its legal action to block from introducing its new Reaxx table saw to the U.S. A spokesman for SawStop said the trial will likely be held in May and a decision is expected by August 2016.
