A fire at a Canadian pine wood pellet manufacturer, Pinnacle Renewable Energy, injured three workers. An official investigation into the cause has yet to be launched.

Babine Forest Products Ltd. is contesting a $1 million penalty imposed by WorkSafeBC for the January 2012 sawmill fire and explosion that killed two employees and injured nearly two dozen others.
