Mereen-Johnson’s new Model 1101 single-spindle CNC dovetailer is a versatile machine which includes a large touch screen interface that allows the operator to create a variety of custom dovetail joints which can be saved and recalled for later use. It features four work areas with separate clamping to allow fronts, backs, and sides to be clamped at the same time. The machine also features adjustability of the joint fit provided through cutter compensation, and operator controlled clamping.

ShopBot's Handibot large-sheet tool is a portable CNC with extended reach designed to take on large products. At the press of a button, it can perform repeatable cutting, carving, machining, and milling operations while working with wood, MDF, plastics, foams, and aluminum. The large sheet tool’s rigid frame clamps onto pieces of material up to 24 inches wide and it features FabMo, a built-in digital fabrication and motion control system. The tool has wheels on each side, providing the capability to move it like a roller-board suitcase.

PantoRouter's joint-making machine features pantograph action and precise templates allowing the machine to execute a full range of traditional joinery from mortise-and-tenons to dovetails, box joints, and more. It features a patent taper of the outside edge, which lets the user move the guide bearing in or out to adjust the fit of the final joint. The machine can make joints in a full range of lengths, widths, and thicknesses, as well as double-tenons.

Thermwood’s Cut Ready Cut Center can be used for cabinets, closets, furniture, doors, drawers, mouldings, and more. Sizes can be changed with no programming and the company says it can help users develop custom libraries and install them into the machine. The machine can also be operated as a CNC router in the traditional manner, running programs generated with virtually any CNC software.

Wintersteiger's DSB Twinhead NG thin-cutting band saw features a vertical orientation of the two saw blades in each module to offer high capacity with a small footprint. With automatic tracking and a pneumatically tensioned carbide blade, the blade guide system will alert the operator before cutting tolerances are lost and stop the feed if the blade starts to cut out of tolerance. The feed system can correct deformation with high pressure for cupped and twisted boards which increases yield and reduces waste.

ShopBot says its smaller-sized Desktop can perform a wide range of workbench, prototyping, and production projects while delivering engraving level precision. The 24x18 in. cutting bed is available with an optional aluminum “T” slot extrusion with an MDF spoilboard deck, or a universal vacuum hold down with plywood plenum and MDF spoil board. It also has the option for either a router or industrial spindle.

Dodds' single spindle CNC dovetailer Model SE-1-25AF features independent pneumatic clamping and a 3-HP high-frequency spindle and 25-in. capacity. The machine produces standard English dovetails on the 1- and 2-in. centerline while cutting both the mortise and tenon at the same time. Using the touchscreen, the operator can enter part dimensions, cut speed, scoring options, and customize fits.
