Wintersteiger's DSB Twinhead NG thin-cutting band saw features a vertical orientation of the two saw blades in each module to offer high capacity with a small footprint. With automatic tracking and a pneumatically tensioned carbide blade, the blade guide system will alert the operator before cutting tolerances are lost and stop the feed if the blade starts to cut out of tolerance. The feed system is capable of correcting deformation with high pressure for cupped and twisted boards which increases yield and reduces waste. It features touch-screen control for adjustment of different block and lamella sizes, flexible infeed and outfeed options, and high capacity of up to 30,000 sf per eight-hour shift.
