The SATAjet 20 B is ideal for use in the application of glaze, says SATA. It can be used to apply a very fine line, targeting the specific area which will lead to minimal wiping. Only a small amount of air pressure is required. The SATAjet 20 B can also be used to create a soft faded edge, or recreate an antique finish.

PaintLine has introduced a new hinge hook for hanging cabinet doors when painting or finishing. Utilizing a proprietary single wire design, PaintLine's Hinge Hooks have a sharp, “fish hook” style point, which securely holds cabinet doors by their hinge cup holes. Each hook has a weight capacity of 25 lbs and when two are used, the weight capacity is 50 lbs.

The SuperMax 25-50 Drum Sander from Laguna Tools is the largest open-ended drum sander on the market, the company says. The user can sand 25″ in a single pass, and up to 50″ in a double pass.  The 25-50 Drum Sander comes standard on a Closed Mobile Base Stand. The drum is pre-wrapped with 80 grit sandpaper. Additional accessories and sandpaper are available for purchase.

3M says its Xtract sanding disc product can extract up to 99% of dust generated. As the operator sands, any dust produced is pulled through the net backing, continuously extracting and collecting into the vacuum system. The company's line of Cubitron II Premium Series abrasives is designed with the exclusive 3M Precision-Shaped Grain (PSG) technology, which means up to two times the dust created in the same amount of time.

PaintLine has launched new accessories to pair with its drying racks. The accessories include new hinge hooks that feature a proprietary design that uses a single, high-carbon steel wire to reduce shadowing from the spray pattern on the cabinet door. Also available are PSDR Cup Hooks that are made from Zinc-plated steel for hanging cabinet doors on either the company's standard or Wave Hangers.

The dual-action electric polisher from Dynabrade Inc. features a lightweight, low-profile design that the company says is precision-balanced to deliver superior power. The geared tool can be used with both 5” and 6” diameter pads. The electric motor features a 20’ swivel cord for extended reach during operation. The polisher is 1000 watts and operates at a variable speed of 150–350 orbits per minute with a 6.8mm orbit.

Atlantic Machinery's LBK 150 ST1 sander performs up to 6 applications, with a tilting table that angles to 45 degrees and a sizing pad that sands solid and veneered edges. An infeed fence adjusts micrometrically, and the variable speed abrasive wheel produces beveled and radiused edges.

Cefla Finishing's updated EASY spray machine is outfitted with an optional paper belt and a new Fast Color Switch (FCS). The patent-pending FCS allows for 2K mixing systems and color changes to occur directly on the arms of the EASY, resulting in color changes of less than 30 seconds and minimal catalyzed coating waste between material changes. The FCS will diminish downtime, decrease wasted material, and increase production throughput, the company adds.

With PaintLine's Interior Door Spray & Dry Series (PSDRID), single operators can paint multiple, full-size, interior doors in a confined space; spray from a single position and rotate the door with your foot, leaving your hands free to manage the spray gun and hose. The PSDRID includes components for 20 interior doors; additional components are available to expand the number of doors.

A taller version of PaintLine’s Portable Jobsite Spray Booth is now available. At 94.5 in. (2.4m) in height, the PJSB XL is ideal for spraying interior doors and taller cabinets, the company says. It has a precision-manufactured, fully collapsible, aluminum frame and uses disposable plastic liners to protect the shop or jobsite. PJSB XL is a walk-in, open-faced booth, sets up in minutes without tools, and can be packed into the included carry bags for storage or transport between jobs.
