Atlantic Machinery Corp. offers the Vitap Point Grooving machine designed specifically for manufacturing  acoustic/sound absorbing panels, which represents a growing segment of the wood industry. Different blades can be utilized for various grooving patterns as required. Patterns can be designed and downloaded from the office computer and stored in memory or loaded directly onto the machine’s computer by the operator. Grooving is done from below, which greatly improves dust collection and the removal of excess material, the company says. The compact machine only requires 40 sf of space, and is a sister machine to the 2016 Challengers Award Finalist Vitap Point Acoustic which drills the sound absorbing panels.
