2x2 desktop CNC

Axiom Precision says its new 2x2 desktop CNC machine includes everything makers need, all in one box, and there is no need to purchase and install a separate router or spindle.

The CNC includes a 1HP spindle and software, which allows users to set up and get to work immediately, without the hidden costs and complexity of buying and installing separate components.

“We heard our customers loud and clear: they want to spend less time building their machine and more time building their projects,” said Jimmy Uttley, director of product management(Woodworking). “Our goal with this machine was to eliminate every barrier to entry. We’ve designed a complete system that includes everything a user needs—from the spindle to the software, so they can unbox, plug in, and start creating immediately.”

Key features, include:

  • All-in-One Value: Unbox a complete workshop. This package includes everything you need right away. You’ll avoid unexpected costs and the headache of hunting down compatible parts.
  • Unrivaled Strength and Precision: Unlike common lead screws, Axiom’s offers rolled ball screws on all axes to deliver superior rigidity, precision, and durability for consistent, high-quality results.
  • Cut Faster, Finish Sooner: Speed up your workflow without sacrificing quality. With up to 200 IPM travel speed, you can complete jobs faster with professional-level accuracy.
  • Built for Your Toughest Projects: This machine is built to stay stable and absorb vibration, ensuring smooth, precise cuts — even on demanding materials.
  • Pro-Level Accuracy, Every Time: Trust your cuts. This machine is engineered for +/- 0.006" accuracy for professional-grade results on every project.
  • Big Power, Small Space: Maximize your creativity in minimum space. Its compact footprint is perfect for small shops and home garages.
  • More Z-Axis, More Possibilities: Unlock endless project versatility. A 5.5" Z-axis travel lets you cut thicker materials and explore a wider range of creative possibilities.

Compact footprint, full performance
Despite its powerful capabilities, the machine maintains a compact footprint, making it ideal for small shops, home garages, and makerspaces.
Jay Misas, Sr. Product Manager, believes in giving the user professional-level results. “We’re delivering a machine that offers superior accuracy and repeatability in a compact footprint, loaded with features typically found on large, more expensive CNCs,” Misas explains. “Featuring precision rolled ball screws and linear prismatic guides on all three axes, a 1 HP spindle, and MDF spoil boards, users have everything they need to tackle any project right out of the box.”
