Thermwood’s Cut Ready - Cut Center makes cabinets, closets and related products without the need for a separate computer, design software or CNC programming, says the company. It can also offer simple, intuitive operation with no programming for other products via the new Special Products program. With the program, says Thermwood, definitions for a user’s unique products are custom developed and installed in the user’s Cut Center. Users make selections at the machine, with the ability to use material of varying thickness and/or adjust product size and features. Thermwood adds, they are not just CNC programs, but definitions which teach the user’s machine to make products in all variations, sizes, and from all the materials the company uses. The process begins by developing a formal, written description of products the user wants to make, detailing all aspects of the product. Once product definitions, based on the user’s descriptions, are complete, sample products are run for approval. Thermwood then installs the new definitions in the user’s Cut Center. Additional products can be added or existing ones modified if necessary, says Thermwood. With the Special Products addition, users still have all the Cut Center features and product capabilities.
