Carbide-tipped band saw blades for hardwoods

The Woodpecker CT carbide-tipped band saw blades from The L.S. Starrett Co. are engineered to meet the demands of professionals in the wood industry seeking reliable cutting solutions for hard and abrasive wood, especially in high-volume cutting environments.

The blades feature aggressively angled carbide-tipped teeth that are precision-ground and triple-sharpened for superior cutting performance and high fatigue resistance for extended blade life, reduced cutting time and improved productivity. The blades also have a special steel backer material for added longevity and produce an excellent cutting finish. 

Blades are available in welded bands, in ½”, ¾”, 1”, 1 ¼” and 2” widths, in .032”, .035” and .042” thicknesses, and in 1.3 and 3 teeth per inch. Woodpecker CT teeth feature a positive rake and trapezoid set and produce kerf widths ranging from 0.051” to 0.068”.
