Metal drawer stops

How do I remove these metal drawer stops? If they can’t be removed without damaging the dresser is there a solution that would help eliminate drawer bottoms from being damaged? I am also trying to make the drawers more functional and slide better. Any helpful ideas would be greatly appreciated
