I have a few branches of Bradford Pear wood and have never used this type of wood before. I am carving spoons and as I get more into finishing the first one, I noticed there are sections where the wood is almost like sawdust and swirls as I shape the handle. I've searched online but can't find any info. Help!
I found a table that was stained very dark. There was also some texture carved into the wood. stripped and sanded but there’s a strange diamond pattern of dark lines that I can’t seem to get rid of. Paint wash adhered to the lines. Is it tannins or something else?
