Biesse exec named vice president of Italian machinery association, Acimall

Federico Broccoli, chief commercial officer at Biesse (Pesaro), is the new vice president of Acimall, the association of Italian manufacturers of machinery and accessories for the woodworking and furniture industries. The association’s board, following a proposal by President Enrico Aureli, voted the appointment of the new VP replacing Raphaël Prati, who resigned and was recognized for his valuable contribution.

Hardwood companies join plea for federal relief from tariff hardship

Hardwood companies are adding their names and support to an effort to be recognized as "critical agricultural producers and be eligible for federal relief payments," according to a report in Tennessee Lookout.According to the publication, nearly 40 Tennessee hardwood companies are among more than 400 U.S. hardwood industry operators calling for federal relief from "tariff-induced economic hardship."
