BOONE, Iowa — Local reports said that Merit Management Group, a Johnston, Missouri-based private equity firm, has acquired Swan Creek Cabinetry, a Boone, Iowa, company known for its handcrafted cabinetry and millwork. Swan Creek, a full-service manufacturer of quality-built cabinets and storage solutions, is the second custom cabinetry company acquired by the firm. 

In December 2024, Merit Management Group acquired Crystal Kitchen and Bath, a Minneapolis-based company that specializes in kitchen and bathroom remodeling, providing custom cabinetry and design solutions for every room in the home. Operating out of an 8,800-square-foot showroom in Minneapolis. 

In addition to the Swan Creek acquisition, the company also acquired Metro Heating & Cooling, a Des Moines-based HVAC provider founded in 1984, adding to its network of HVAC companies. Merit has also recently acquired Dorrian Heating & Cooling in Waukee and Heartland Heating & Cooling.
