Stevens Industries acquires Georgia-based cabinet company

Stevens Industries, Inc., an FDMC300 ranked manufacturer (#88, $117 million) of commercial cabinetry, furniture and laminated panels acquired the assets of Design Tex Cabinetry, a cabinetry and millwork manufacturing company.

Design Tex, operating since 1978 and headquartered in Suwanee, Georgia, currently employs a staff of approximately 35 employees includes sales, engineering, casework production, millwork production, and installation. The company said the combined strengths of Design Tex and Stevens' will enable the companies to service an expanded geography and service the growing population in the Southeast.

According to local reports, the closing date on the transaction was February 12, 2025. No further details were provided.

“We are excited to combine the capabilities and capacities of Stevens and Design Tex,” said Todd Wegman, company president. "Design Tex is a highly regarded company in the Atlanta area with a long history including many repeating customers. We have spent over a year vetting potential options and see tremendous opportunity with the acquisition of Design Tex."
