Orion KCP Dry Claw Vacuum pumps provide pump efficiency in cfm per horsepower and low maintenance costs.

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - Premier Fluid Systems (PFS), a leading supplier of vacuum pumps in Canada since 1985, will exhibit a selection of its broad product line at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference & Expo, Oct. 31-Nov. 2 at the International Centre.

Known as Travaini Canada, PFS has vacuum and centrifugal pump installations in thousands of industrial sites across Canada and the U.S., and around the world.

PFS’s experts will be on hand to help visitors choose the right pump for a specific application. Some of the products attendees can expect to see at the PFS WMS booth #1638 include the following:

The Dry Vane Vacuum pump series DVV consists of 100% oil-free rotary vane pumps with the ability to achieve vacuum of 27” Hg. V. They also serve as low-pressure compressors to 14 PSI when needed. The pumps are direct drive with no belts or gears. The motors are TEFC and are energy efficient. The DVV series comes integrated with several key accessories, including: vacuum/pressure regulating valves, internal 4-micron inlet filter, external 2-micron suction filter assembly (lower micron for special applications are available such as moisture, fine powder, or caustic resin), and vibration isolators. PFS said the DVV series provides quiet operation and low operating temperatures. Three levels of vane economies are available to provide best solutions to a customer’s needs. The standard vane life expectancy under normal operating conditions is nine months or 3,000 hours -- with an overall product warranty of one year. For information on upgraded DVV pump models that decrease maintenance intervals to 15,000-20,000 hours, or to learn about an extended warranty program on the DVV series, contact Premier Fluid Systems.

Orion KCP Dry Claw Vacuum pumps provide superior pump efficiency with higher cfm per horsepower and reduced operating costs, according to PFS. Extremely quiet, these pumps have shown an ablity to serve in single workstation installations or as a central vacuum source for multiple workstations, decreasing the number of pumps needed while controlling power. Maintenance is reduced to simple gear oil boxes changes ranging from every 5,000 to 20,000 hours depending on the grade of oil used and regular cleaning of the inlet filter element. Pump upgrades are available for non-standard or difficult pumping applications where there are resins or caustic gases passing through the pump or if the pump is operating at higher temperatures. The Dry Claw Pumps can be used as compressors going up to 2 bar discharge (31 psi) with the ability to reach high flows of 700 cfm if ne eded. The KCP series comes integral with some key accessories including discharge silencer, check valve and pressure relief valve.

The Dynaseal system, left, ls what PFS calls its “most robust yet simple, low maintenance design” that provides strong vacuum for long periods in difficult applications. Dynaseal’s closed-looped liquid ring system uses oil or other service liquids. The heart of the system is the Travaini liquid ring vacuum pump. PFS said these vacuum systems are known to “still run strong after more than 20 years” (about 100,000 operating hours) in some installations. Many sizes are available including 10-, 20-, 30-, 40- horsepower or even larger to operate a single CNC table or as a centralized system operating multiple tables. PFS provides a warranty for up to three years or 9,000 hours for the Dynaseal System.
