Ardis says its Perform software is the first MES/MRP system exclusive for the woodworking industry.

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario - Ardis, a developer of optimization and production software specifically designed for processing sheet stock, will demonstrate its latest products at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Expo, Oct. 31-Nov. 2.

Ardis designs its software as a modular all-in-one platform, which the company says “allows us to focus on your current needs with a future-proof software solution.”

Among the products Ardis will display at WMS is Ardis Perform, which the company said is the first MES/MRP system exclusive for the woodworking industry. Ardis said wood product manufacturers can use Perform’s flexible, standardized web-based solution to plan, manage and monitor production “without any complex or expensive custom-made software.”  Perform supports managing production per project, per batch, per production order, per cart, Ardis added.

Examples of production issues, Ardis said Perform helps manage, include:

  • Registering communication and online data to address the challenge of making sure that an operator completes and finishes the right job first;
  • Making sure that every operator follows the right order of specific steps to avoid mistakes that could cost a lot of time and money;
  • Eliminating unclear information, which can bog down production planning; and
  • Keeping track and issuing alerts of deadlines to help avoid unnecessary and costly overtime.

Ardis will offer demonstrations of Perform, Ardis Analytics and other software products at WMS booth #2301.
