BEAUFORT, S.C. — Lanthorne Homes, a brand of Front Light Building Company, has announced a new partnership with Builders FirstSource, the nation’s largest supplier of structural building products. The company says the collaboration will integrate innovative technology into Lanthorne’s semi-custom homebuilding model, "advancing its mission to deliver cost-efficient, high-quality homes tailored to customer preferences across South Carolina."

Builders FirstSource brings its extensive inventory and cutting-edge digital solutions to the partnership, providing Lanthorne with tools that streamline design and material procurement. Together, the companies are redefining the semi-custom homebuilding process, one that offers affordability, efficiency, and personalization without the complexities of a fully custom build.

“What makes the Lanthorne homebuilding experience unique is how we bring customers to the intersection of affordability and personalized design without the complications of a fully custom build,” said Matt Green, CEO of Front Light Building Company. “With Builders FirstSource transforming design technology and material procurement, we’re excited to partner in creating a streamlined process that empowers customers to select individualized plans with custom features.

One of the first developments to showcase this partnership is Olde Eight, a transformational $400 million mixed-use community in Greenwood County. Residents will be able to take advantage of Builders FirstSource’s Home Configure 3D visualizer, which allows them to customize floor plans and preview finishes in real time.

“Builders FirstSource is pleased to partner with Lanthorne Homes to deliver an innovative and customer-first homebuilding experience,” said Peter Jackson, CEO of Builders FirstSource. “Our advanced digital solutions combined with our breadth of product offerings enable a more efficient process that not only saves time and cost but also elevates the overall quality of the home. We’re proud to work with the team at Lanthorne Homes on the Olde Eight development and we hope many more to come.”

Olde Eight will feature a robust mix of residential and commercial spaces, paired with amenities designed to foster connection and quality of life. Plans for the lakeside community include a full golf course, par-3 course with practice facilities, nature trails, green spaces, restaurants, a wellness center, a marina, and a neighborhood general store accessible to the broader public.

Through this partnership, Lanthorne Homes and Builders FirstSource are demonstrating how innovative technology, paired with thoughtful community design, can transform the homebuilding experience for those who choose to make South Carolina home.
