ATLANTA — Group Bayport, a global e-commerce provider of personalized products for consumers and businesses, has acquired a majority stake in Connecticut-based Optamark and 100% acquisition of Chicago-based NorthCape. Group Bayport offers more than 10,000 customizable products from signs and displays to outdoor furniture covers to home decor products for people and businesses worldwide. The two acquisitions augment the company’s reach in the promotional products and outdoor furniture and cushion categories, adding more than 3,000 products and countless new customization options.

“Delivering quality personalized products quickly and at value is what we do best at Group Bayport. It’s our vision to power limitless expression through customized products for businesses, homes, and individuals,” Group Bayport Founder and CEO Nishant Shah said. ”In adding these two strong category leaders to our portfolio, we offer our customers even more options to express themselves at home and at work. We also bring our vertically integrated approach from design to delivery to Optamark and NorthCape’s customers.”

The acquisition of brand management company Optamark gives Group Bayport customers access to a wide selection of customizable promotional materials — everything from pens and business cards to trade show displays, apparel, and more — with products from leading brands such as Champion, The North Face, American Tourister, New Balance, and Sharpie.

NorthCape, a custom outdoor covers, furniture, and cushions company with a robust market presence for over 25 years, serves thousands of customers nationwide. Its acquisition positions Group Bayport — a market leader in custom outdoor covers with CoversAndAll.com — to offer customized wholesale solutions to furniture retailers and manufacturers nationwide.

Both Optamark and NorthCape will continue to be led by their current CEOs, and Group Bayport plans to hire additional staff to support the companies' anticipated growth.

“We've always loved helping businesses establish and grow their brands,” Tarang Gosalia, CEO of Optamark, said. “Our team will leverage Group Bayport’s resources and deep market expertise to better serve our clients while still delivering the products and services they have come to rely on.”

“For over two decades, NorthCape has focused on delivering quality and style at a great value,” NorthCape President Thomas Murray said. “This partnership strengthens our offerings and continues providing customers with the best in both classic and modern furniture designs.”

These acquisitions come on the heels of strong momentum at Group Bayport towards a journey of strong growth in the next three years.
