Decorative hardwoods group releases legal timber due diligence standard

STERLING, Va. — The Decoratives Hardwoods Association is making available the American National Standard for Due Diligence in Procuring/Sourcing Legal Timber.

The updated standard, ANS LTDD 2.0 2023, is available for free for all DHA members, subscribers of the DHA eNews, and visitors to the DHA website

The standard guides companies in creating a quality assurance program that the DHA said significantly reduces the risk of illegal timber and wood products entering their supply chain and demonstrates due diligence in controlling that risk. The standard covers importing, exporting, and interstate commerce of timber and wood products.
