KINGSPORT, Tenn. — Accsys, the global leader in high-performance wood, has formed a strategic partnership with GMX Group, a top provider of premium and sustainable building materials across North America.

Through this collaboration, Accoya, Accsys’ high-performance acetylated wood, will be distributed through GMX’s wholesale division, Global Forest LBM, under the Maximo brand, with a focus on decking applications. This partnership will expand the brand's reach and improve availability, particularly in fast-growing regions such as Florida and Texas.

“Our collaboration with GMX Group represents an exciting evolution for Accoya in North America,” said Sergio Munhoz, sales director for Accsys in North America. “GMX brings deep market insight, as well as a strong distribution infrastructure. Together, we’re enabling broader access to high-quality and sustainable wood solutions that meet the demands of today’s builders, architects, and homeowners, while supporting a more responsible future for the industry.”

“At GMX, we’re focused on shaping the future of greener construction by promoting durable, low-carbon materials like wood,” said Giovani Miguel, CEO of GMX Group. “We’re excited by the opportunity to work with Accoya, a sustainable, high-performance option that aligns with our values. Partnering with Accsys allows us to offer a premium product that not only meets the performance expectations of our customers but also supports our long-term commitment to responsible sourcing and environmental leadership.”

The partnership directly supports Accsys’ strategic growth plan by strengthening its commitment to expanding the Accoya brand in North America, a region that has experienced a 16% year-over-year increase in sales volume. The relationship enables double distribution in key sales areas, helping to accelerate penetration into high-potential markets.
