85-year-old Haas Cabinet liquidating assets in 2-day auction

The Omga "Optima 240" optimizing cut-off saw is part of day 1 bidding of items from building #1 at Haas Cabinet's Sellersburg, Indiana, facility.

Founded in 1939, Haas Cabinet opened its first plant in 1944, but now, some 85 years later, the company has undergone a threat of closure, a brief reprieve, and now permanent closure. The total assets of the Sellersburg, Indiana-based company is being sold off in a two-day auction.

Auction house Machinery Max is conducting a 2-day  auction of Haas' building #1, which is located in Sellersburg. An open house is being held April 23 and 24 to inspect the equipment in person. This online-only event is split into two auction days, each offering a curated selection of woodworking equipment.

The auction of Building #2 at the Haas Cabinet facility will follow. Days and times were not yet released.

Highlights of Day-1 of the 2-Day sale included in this 700+ lot sale are:

  • Ogden Rotoplane "24T" Planer.
A Biesse "Rover B 1638" CNC Router will be auctioned as part of Day 2 bidding.
